Fun & Entertainment at Busch Gardens

Orlando - Tampa direct: approx. 85 mi / 136 km
We’re taking a slight detour to Tampa to meet Vinzent in Wildwood at 9:00 a.m. and pick him up. To our surprise, we arrive at almost exactly the same time and find each other right away.

We arrive in Tampa shortly after 10 a.m.
Busch Gardens offers a nice mix of amusement park and nature park (USD 47.95 – buy online in advance – USD 10 cheaper).
So we ride all the roller coasters and take time in between to check out the beautifully landscaped animal enclosures.
Around 5 p.m., we leave the park and drive to YBOR City, Tampa’s Cuban-influenced neighborhood.
Next, we head to the Henry B. Plant Museum, which we unfortunately can only see from the outside, since it’s no longer open on Sunday evening.
It has gotten dark by now. We take a look at the Hotel Don Cesar on St. Pete Beach and then drive to our hotel for the night (Howard Johnson’s – St. Pete Beach).
