Explore the Everglades by canoe and airboat

9:30 a.m. Departure from our hotel to Everglades City
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Canoe tour through the mangrove forests
- It wasn’t exactly thrilling or “tight” for long; we passed by a lot of houses
- When the time came, we passed (and went under) some very large spiders, at which point Andreas quickly lost his nerve and forced us to turn back
- So we were back so early that the tide hadn’t come in yet, and we simply couldn’t get back to the dock… luckily, a boat towed us, which almost ended in a crash with Andy and the camera in the water and a broken boat
Short stop at Big Cypress National Reserve
- Sighting of a giant alligator on the boardwalk right in front of us!
3:00 - 5:00 PM Airboat tour through the Everglades (22 USD)
- Very nice guide
- V8 right in our faces
- Sighting of an alligator nest with the mother
- Followed by a wildlife show featuring a panther and a crocodile
Dinner at Cicis Pizza in Homestead (all-you-can-eat for $5!!!)
8:00 PM Arrival at the hotel in Key Largo

10:00 PM After swimming in the pool and touring the hotel, drive to Coconuts (a bar where the locals go)
